Promote hotel facilities and provide accurate information on hotel facilities, local attractions/events, transportation arrangement and directions around the community. Transport guests to and from designated and approved locations using official hotel vehicles (cars or vans). Operate hotel vehicles in a safe manner and in accordance with established laws. Read, track and comply with guest transportation schedules established on a daily basis. Properly maintain and clean hotel vehicles.

| | | Catering Director | Papcar Hospitaltiy (Holiday Inn Hurstbourne) is seeking a Director of Catering who is highly motivated with extensive hotel catering sales and managerial skills. We are seeking someone who has a sense of developing new business through inside sales calls and solicitation of outside business. This person must also initiate and develop quality leads to ensure growth of catering sales. This position represents the hotel in conjunction with Sales Department to potential clients in promoting sales/meetings/conventions and food and beverage services. Honor negotiated contracts with existing and potential sales clients. Manages guest services via site visits, board meetings, menu tasting and planning meetings for definite and potential groups.
This position would work directly with the Director of Sales along with Food & Beverage to develop and achieve hotel revenue goals. Our Director of Catering should be a leader. Driving top line performance for our hotel through aggressive promotion, effective prospecting, creativity in designing events, excellent relationship building and a commitment to provide our guests with an experience to exceed expectations.

• Employ operational and selling techniques to maximize occupancy levels and achieve the highest average rate possible, and ensure that staff does the same. Maintain and provide accurate information on and promote hotel facilities.
• Understand and operate front office and telephone computer systems, and equipment such as ten key adding machine, facsimile machines, etc.
• Promptly complete registration process, input and retrieve information from computer, confirm pertinent information including number of guests, method of payment and length of stay, select guest room based upon guest needs/request, nonverbal confirmation of room number and rate, provide key folder containing guest room key (and club key if applicable), certificate and coupons as appropriate. Close out guest accounts at time of check out. Properly file and retrieve registration cards.
• Promptly answer the telephone using positive, pleasant tone of voice and following the established verbiage. Apprise management of all guest complaints/problems; including those that have been resolved.

Prior Hospitality experience
